Flower

Make a magic circle or make a ch 4 cirlce, then ch 3 and dc 12 in the circle. Sl st to the first ch 3 to secure. Cut your yarn and fasten off.

Row 1

With a different color, sl st into one of the dc from row 1 and ch 3. Bead stitch for a total of six flower petals. Secure with a sl st to the first ch 3.

Row 2

For your second flower: Attach a flower to another flower inbetween bead stitches. Complete one bead stitch then insert your hook into another flower ch space. Sl st to the space then move your hook back to compete the second bead stitch. Insert your hook into the next flower ch space of the other flower and sl st to join. Move your hook back to complete the third bead stitch. Attach the flowers so the petals are parallel to one another.&nbsp;

Attaching Flowers

The crochet flower is worked in only two rows. The first row is done in yellow or a light color while the second is done in any color variation.
This pattern is worked by adding flowers on to the existing crochet flowers.

Handle

Make a sl kt using all of the yarn colors and a size 10mm crochet hook. Sl st to the side of the purse and ch 30. Sl st to the other side of the purse and cut the yarn. Ch 1 and pull yarn through the loop to fasten off. Weave in ends or leave them as fringe.

The handle is super simple to make and only requires you to know how to chain.

Beginner Crochet Christmas Stockings 

I make stockings every year and this year I decided to make my own beginner crochet Christmas stockings pattern. This pattern is much more simple than it looks. Color changes are what make the pattern looks so nice.
I took inspiration from more of the traditional style crochet but I still wanted the pattern repeat to be simple to follow along as a beginner crocheter.

Granny Square

Chain 4, sl st into the first ch space to create the chain circle.

Chain 

Ch 2, dc 2. [Ch 2, dc 3] X 3. Ch 2 and sl st to the original ch 2.

Turn over the work and ch 2. Dc 2 in the corner st. [Ch 2, dc 2 in the same corner, dc 1 in each of the next 3 sts. Dc 2 in the next corner] X 3. Ch 2, dc 2 in the corner, dc 2 sts. Sl st to join to the first ch 2 of the row.

Turn over the work and ch 2. Dc 2 in the corner st. [Ch 2, dc 2 in the same corner, dc 1 in each of the next 7 sts. Dc 2 in the next corner] X 3. Ch 2, dc 2 in the corner, dc 4 sts. Sl st to join to the first ch 2 of the row.

You will make the following number of squares for each color:&nbsp;
28 squares in color A (Black)
46 square is color B (Ocean Blue)

Assembly

Using Color D, sl st join each of the granny squares using the back loops.
To connect the front panels to the back, start with the top shoulders of the panels, joining two squares.
Skip the first two squares on the sides for the fronts and backs for the sleeve holes.
Sl st down three squares on each side to seam the sweater together.
Attach the sleeves.
Weave in all the ends.

Finishing + Collar

Attach Color D to the front corner of the sweater and sc 1 all around the seams edge. Ch 1 at the corners. Sl st to join once you make it back around the edge.

Finishing Crochet Row

Chain: Once back at the bottom corner of the sweater, ch 9.
Row 1: Turn and sc 8 back toward the side of the sweater. Sl st back up 2 sts on the side of the sweater.
Row 2: Turn and blsc 8 back down the collar.
Row 3: Turn and blsc 8 back toward the side of the sweater. Sl st back up 2 sts on the side of the sweater.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for the entire collar until you match up to the bottom corner of the sweater.&nbsp;
Finishing Row: Sc continuing around the bottom border of the sweater, ending with sc 8 back onto the first sc of row 1.&nbsp;
Fasten off and weave in ends.

The finishing edge is worked after assembly and goes all around the sides of the sweater. The collar is then made and attached to that edge around the neckline.

Triangles used as the edge pieces. You're going to make granny square triangles using 2 color changes. Use Color B - Color I at random.

With color A, sl st to the bottom left corner of a triangle. Ch 3, dc 2, ch 1 then [dc 3, ch 1] x 5 along the bottom of the triangle. At the corner, (dc 3, ch 2, dc 3). Continue [ ] X 5 along the right side of the triangle.
At the top center of the triangle, dc 3, ch 2 like the corner then grab a new granny square and place the last dc 3 in the bottom left corner of the square. *Insert your hook in the ch 1 space of color A &amp; sl st 1 to attach. Dc 3 back in the next open ch 1 of the square. Repeat * X 5 until you reach the corner. To join the corners, Ch 1, sl st to the corner ch 2 space of color A, ch 1 then continue [ ] X 5 along the right side. At the corner ( ), then continue [ ] X 5 along the top of the square. Continue the bottom, right, top, join method until you've added the correct amount of squares to the row. Join the last triangle from the center point by repeating * then [ ] down the entire left side of the row. Be sure to ch 1, sl st, ch1 to incorporate the ch 2 between joins. At the end of the row dc 3 in the same space as the first stitches, ch 2 and sl st to the top of ch 3. Fasten off.
Repeat row 1 but at the bottom right corner of the first triangle, join the corners together with the bottom left corner of the first triangle and continue to attach the right side of the new row with the left side of the first using the * technique.

Please refer to the chart above to assemble this blanket correctly. Start at the red arrow. You will fasten off after each row. The granny square join technique will create the lattice quilt appearance. Add the 4 corner triangles at the end of assembly using the granny square join technique or leave them off to create a rounded corner blanket.

Border

Ch 1. Sc around in each stitch. Sl st to the top of ch 1. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Use all of the remaining crochet yarn to make a border.
