Delilah the Duck

Make a magic circle and sc 8 in the circle. Sl st to join.

Row 2: sc 2 in each st around

Row 3: sc 1, sc 2 as two st repeat

Row 4: sc 2, sc 1 X 2 as a three st repeat

Row 5: sc 1 X 3, sc 2 as a four st repeat

Row 6: sc 2, sc 1 X 4 as a five st repeat

Row 7: sc 1 X 5, sc 2 as a six st repeat

Row 8: sc 2, sc 1 X 6 as a seven st repeatr

Row 9: sc 1 in each st around

Row 10: sc2tog, sc 1 X 6 as a seven st repeat

Row 11: sc 1 X 5, sc2tog as a six st repeat

Row 12: sc2tog, sc 1 X 4 as a five st repeat

Row 13: sc 1 X 3, sc2tog as a four st repeat

sc 1 in each st around doing then yarn over technique from this row on (32 sts).

Ch 3, fold the seam together and attaching both sides together, sl st in the first and last st, then sl st 10 across the top until there are 10 st left.

Stop attaching both sides together.

Stuff the body with polyfil.

Ch 1, sc 2 in each of the 10 remaining sts to get 20 sts total. Sl st to the first sc 2 space.

sc 1 in each st around.

Row 26: sc 1, sc2tog as a three st repeat

Attach the safety eyes to the face, between row 25 and 26, leaving 3-4 sts in between. 

For the bill: Ch 7, sc 6 back. Make 3 rows of 6 sts, fasten off with a long tail and weave in the bill directly between the safety eyes.

Stuff the head with polyfil.

Row 27: sc 1 around

Row 28: sc2tog around

Row 29: sc 2 together, fasten off

With green (Color D) chain 6. sl st back 3 sts and then dc 10 in the last st. Sl st to join into a circle.

With color D, sc 10 around, sl st to join. Fasten off.

With fuchsia (Color C), to make each petal repeat the following [ ] for a total of 5 petals.

[ sc 2 in each of the first two stitches, turn, ch1, sc 4 across, turn, ch 1, sc 4 across, turn, ch 1, sc 1, sc2tog, sc 1, turn, ch 1, sc 1, ch 2, sc 1 in the next st. Sl st 4 down the side of the petal and join to the stem ]

Fasten off color C at the end of 5 petals. Weave in ends. 

Sew the flower onto the duck's head or super glue to secure. 

For the duck bill use 2 strands of orange (color B).

Chain 6, skip the first chain then sc 5. Turn Ch 1, Sc 5 across, turn ch 1, sc 5 across for a total of 3 rows fasten off with a long tail and weave the tail onto the duck between rows 24 and 25.
