Before you begin...

- Chain 2 does not count as a stitch

- Slip stitch (sl st) to join rounds

- Place your first double crochet (dc) of each round in the same stitch as your sl st join.

Part 2: Assemble Pillow

(Make 1)

Time to join the two pillow sides together

Create pillow case

Grab your two pillow sides and place the front side out.

Single crochet (sc) both sides together along the edge until your pillow is 3/4 connected.

Place the pillow stuffing in between the two sides when you have about 1/4 of the pillow left to seam togehter.

Sc the pillow closed.

Fasten off & weave in ends.

(Make 22)

Chain

ch 11. Turn.

Row 1

(10 sc total) sc 1 2nd ch from hook. sc 9. ch 1. Turn.

Row 2

(8 sc) sc2tog. sc 6. sc2tog. ch 1. Turn.

Row 3

(6 sc) sc2tog. sc 4. sc2tog. ch 1. Turn.

Row 4

(4 sc) sc2tog. sc 2. sc2tog. ch 1. Turn.

Row 5

(2 sc) 2sctog. sc2tog. ch 1. Turn.

Row 6

(1sc) sc2tog. Fasten off.

Part 4: Assemble Triangles

(Make 1)

Single crochet (sc) two triangles together. You can stuff them with polyfill or add cardboard between them for a stiff peaks.

Attach triangles together

(6 ch, 22 sc) ch 2 on the corners, sc 6 on each side of the triangles, and 10 sc on the bottom.

Part 5: Assemble Sun + Border

(Make 1)

Use macrame cord or a pipe cleaners to give the border a nicer finish. For this tutorial, I used macrame cord.

Assemble

Use your darning needle + yarn. Attach each triangle's 10 single crochet sides to 10 single crochet stitches on the assembled pillow using a mattress stitch.

Row 1

(65 sc) sc 5 around each triangle edge and sc2tog between each triangle on the last stitch.

Border

(65 sc total) sc 5 on the sides of each triangle and sc2tog for last stitch to connect to other triangles and give a finished look.
