Crochet star applique Pattern

Part 1: star applique

(Make 1)

i use it as a coaster after i extend it but it can be used as wtv you want its abasic applique

magic circle

1 r 10 dc

slip stitch

this connects the two sides of the circle

one of 5 points

in that first stitch do a single crochet. chain one. in the same stitch do a double crochet. chain 2. in the next stitch do a double crochet. chain one. in the same stitch do a single.

two through 4 of 5 points

in the next stich do exactly the same thing till you have finished the 4th point

5th point

2 single crochets in the same stitch. chain 1. double crochet in the same stich. chain 2. double crochet in the next stitch. chain 2. single crochet in the same stitch.

finish

tie it off. then either take your needle and weave the excess into the star. OR tie it off. snip the excess string super short. CAREFULY take your lighter and gently singe the knot to hold it in place. quickly press something into the knot to lock it in place.
